Product Spotlight: 30 Years of the Supreme Sander
In 1992, Dynabrade released the Dynorbital Supreme Sander. The first air-powered random orbital sander was revamped from our 1987 model and added to our lineup.
The Supreme sander is the heaviest of our sander offering, ranging from 2.1lbs to 2.5lbs. On average, the sander weighs 2.2lbs. A refined, ergonomic tool grip was added with a comfort platform making the job easy on your body. One-hand speed control is also an important feature of this sander, which reduces accidental contact.
The Supreme sander is offered in a 3/8”, 3/16”, and 3/32” orbit.
The weight of the tool allows the tool to do the work for the operator. It is used best for horizontal work surfaces. If maintained properly, the motor on the Supreme is more durable because it has all steel internal components. This is where the weight comes in as a benefit for the operator. If you are working in a humid environment or a place with water in the airlines, the motors could rust from the moisture introduced to them. It is wise to keep this in mind when deciding on the type of tool you purchase.
