History
Dynabrade began in 1969 with one inspired idea. Walter Welsch, Dynabrade's founder, developed the first Dynafile® Abrasive Belt Tool as a method of improving the task of hand-filing metals and other hard surfaces, while making this process quicker and easier than ever before. Thanks to this innovative, entrepreneurial spirit, Dynabrade thrives to this day, continuously upgrading the product offered, through extensive research & development based on market needs and new technological advancements in the tool and abrasive industries. Today, through the continued hard work and determination of its employees, Dynabrade has earned a worldwide reputation for excellence, holding a leadership position in the innovative design and manufacturing of unique portable power tools and related accessories.

A key to Dynabrade's growth is reinvesting in ourselves. (1990) Dynabrade moves into Clarence, NY building of 28,000 square feet. (1991) First addition constructed for International Sales and loading dock. (1995) 11,000 square feet accommodates warehouse expansion. (1996) Added office space for Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service and International Sales. (2003) New millennium brings another expansion of Machine Shop, Warehouse, Engineering, Customer Service and International Sales. (2007) New addition of 51,000 square feet for Manufacturing, Machine Shop and Warehouse. Still room for more growth with at least 51,000 square feet available behind 2007 addition.
Locations
Dynabrade has grown to the point where we service hundreds of distributors all over the world, sharing global sales responsibilities with Dynabrade Europe (Luxembourg) and Dynabrade India (Maharashtra). Dynabrade International Sales (Clarence, NY) supports these offices, along with direct responsibility for sales representatives in Canada, Mexico, Central & South America and Asia/Pacific Rim.

Dynabrade tools have been proudly designed, manufactured and built in the USA for over 50 years. One of the ways we celebrated our Made in the USA pride was, by offering a limited edition Dynafile®. Our model 14000USA Dynafile® was draped in the Stars & Stripes of the American flag. The USA Dynafile® is the same fully functioning abrasive belt tool that can reliably track an 1/8th" wide belt and offers the most contact arm options to tackle any industrial grinding, blending and polishing application using 24" long belts.
